Kendall & Eric and came down to see me in Helotes this weekend for their engagement pictures. We found a cool little spot on the edge of old towne and got some great shots. These are some of my favorites.... Just for fun they brought along their College shirts. No rivalries here!!! Thanks to Mom & Dad for coming along and being such great assistants as well!

Karina & Joe

Last summer I donated a bridal and engagement session to the San Antonio Bridal Fair, it took place immediately following Hurricane Ike and the proceeds from the auction sale all went to the Hurricane relief. Karina and Joe were the winners of that auction and took me downtown to LaVillita to do their engagement session, one of their favorite places in San Antonio, and the site of his proposal. Tomorrow I'm off to do Karina's bridal portrait... she is going to be a stunning bride!!!

On the subject of giving back, you can look for gift certificates for photo sessions at auction tomorrow at the Missions Care Golf Tournament at The Quarry and on June 13th at Anne Marie's on Starcrest at a benefit auction to support 5 year old Kenny Hudnall.

Morgan & Kirk & cake...

I was back in Shreveport last weekend for Morgan and Kirk's wedding, we had so much fun! Here are some of my favorite pictures, plus a cake cutting that you won't believe! They went all out!!! (I think she won ;)

Sarah & Lon

I was downtown shooting Sarah & Lon's engagement session in February, they are an amazing couple! We walked around the riverwalk and the Alamo before they shooed us away. San Antonio has so much to offer! I love it here!

Jennifer & Mike

Jennifer and Mike renewed their vows on Valentine's Day at the Hideout on the Horseshoe... What an amazing place! Here is one of my favorite shots from the day. You can tell how much he loves her in this shot, it was a magical moment. Thanks for letting me be there to share in it!

Donation to March of Dimes

Valentine's day is tomorrow and today I'm feeling grateful for all the love in my life. I have a friend who just lost her first child, he was born 12 weeks premature and only lived for five days. She has set up a memorial fund in his honor with the March of Dimes, and I am going to donate my next wedding deposit to them, if you choose to hire me next, you can make the check out to them (but mail it and the contract to me). Update: Thanks to Kendall Sweet and Eric Fritsch for their $300.00 deposit to fulfill this pledge. I look forward to shooting their wedding in November of this year.

One very lucky family has two new beautiful little girls! I got to spend the afternoon with them yesterday. Aren't they sweet!

Katelyn 1986 - 2008

I'm so sad to say that my cousin's daughter, died this morning three years after receiving a double lung transplant. She was born 22 years ago with Cystic Fibrosis and didn't let it hold her back. One of the last times I saw her was at a horse show. She had a pony that she raced on and I swear that she could make it fly, they moved so fast! She was an incredibly talented equestrian.

In 2004 she was listed in Teen People magazine as one of the 20 Teens Who Will Change the World, it is definitely a better place for her having been here. Here she is in an episode of Seventh Heaven talking about her transplant and raising awareness about CF. And now I'm going to go hug my kids and count my blessings.

Ok, so I confess, I'm a music junkie. Any type, doesn't really matter, I love it all. So, I really enjoyed my shoot on Sunday with Darleen Dixon, one of my favorite radio personalities, and her husband, guitarist Griffin-X who pulled out his guitar and played a little spot for me. It's funny that I can get away with calling this work! I do LOVE my job!!!
