Dina and Mike
Dina and Mike had me out to Marquardt Ranch for my first wedding there. What a beautiful venue! It's almost as if it was set up with a photographers eye! There was a fabulous wheaty field close by and a stream that we shot by when we did their engagement session.... and then on the day of the wedding they let us up on the roof to take some shots as the sun was setting on the treetops below! Amazing! Here are some of my favorite shots... thanks Dina and Mike for letting me share! and thanks for being my profile girl for my new division :)

plus size photography, a little division of Donna Gustin photography
My daughter was skipping through television shows one night and happened on an episode of 'say yes to the dress' that was dedicated to plus sized brides and they were talking about how hard it is to find dresses in larger sizes and I had an epiphany.... how easy is it to find a photographer who knows how to work with plus size brides?... so I did a little googling and there really isn't much out there. No one in San Antonio that I could find.... so I offer for you, a new category of services... honed from years of experience, and based on my own issues with my wedding day puffiness and double chins!
When I posted on my facebook that I was looking for anyone who was interested in doing some plus sized pictures, Dina offered that I should start with hers that we just finished... so thank you Dina!!! for giving me the opportunity to work with you and Mike... and for being my first. I'm going to continue to do what I do normally, but I just want to make sure plus sized people know there is someone out there who has their interests at heart. I'll be doing some special offers for plus sized to build that end of my portfolio, please follow my facebook page for details. Please know that as a professional, I will not categorize you or post your pictures unless you specifically give permission.

longest blog ever!
Obviously, I'm never caught up with blogging.... world's worst blogger, right here! This is from Casey & Rob's wedding this summer.... in the fabulous Mexican resort town of Playa del Carmen (I love my job!!!). We did their engagement session (and reception after) in Louisiana and then flew to Mexico for the ceremony just in time to meet up with tropical storm Alex, which we happened to get the pleasure of seeing again in Hurricane force on our return trip to Texas... but that's another story. In spite of the crazy weather, we had a great time and got some fabulous pictures. I took my husband along and we had him hold the camcorder and protect the cameras from the wind and rain and we ended up staying for a week and catching a little R&R while we were there, doing a little underground snorkeling and zip lining above the trees! Thank you Casey & Rob for the wonderful opportunity!!!
It didn't start out raining! I caught up with the guys in the pool just before they started getting ready.
Watching the storm roll in from the brides room.
and this would be the tub! At least the window shows a little of the grounds.... it definitely was the more desirable place at the moment!
At least the groom was dry... mostly!
Back in Louisiana inside the reception hall just before things get started.
details.... details..... details! everything was fabulous!!!
and one last shot from the end of the night in Mexico...
